​We propose a new method to simultaneously estimate head motion and magnetic field changes using FIDnavs and simulation of the acquisition physics. FIDnavs can provide rapid and accurate measurements of head motion and first-order field changes, with applications for retrospective correction and real-time steering and shimming.

Combining electromagnetic tracking with 3D golden-ratio radial sampling enables robust retrospective correction by maintaining sufficiently dense sampling in the presence of large, continuous motion.
